Once, the castle trained berserk Moto to fight the Shadowlands. The training has shifted to include more targets.

At last, we have a good SH for CE!

Good card draw engine, and it encourages us to play our Infantry and Tactician peeps (aside from Chen).

May also become a draw engine for Battle Maidens with A Warrior Patience or Thorough Preparations.

May also be useful for Scouts to get rid of cumbersome Recon Strategies in order to draw more Battle Strategies, or the opposite, depending on what you need at the moment.

It might become a BM card draw engine, but I doubt it will have more synergy with the BM than UP. +1PH is too useful for many cards in a BM deck to just switch your SH. And I didn't even mention the combo between UP ability and TWNS.

It's a very good SH (too good?), but I doubt it will see play in a BM deck.

Bjr a tous. Je profite de la diffusion des previews licornes pour m'inscrire sur ce site que je ne connaissais pas. Pour info je joue licorne depuis la diamant.
Cette extension emporte avec elle un nouvel archétype : le deck licorne/tactoche.
La strong est intrinsèquement bonne. Piocher une carte ca a tjs été fort. Le bonus de force est surtout util pour pallier au syndrome de "la dernière province" car sauf erreur de lecture de ma part on peut piocher mm si on en pas opposé.
Néanmoins onreprochee quecette strong ne marche pas qd elle est tapé. En debut et en milieu de partie la capa ne marchera donc qu'en attaque.
On peu également noter que si on gagne une capa de pioche on perd une capa de bataille (le move du champs des vents par ex) et ce notamment si on pioche un suivant ou un item. Si on pioche une action de bataille s'est autre chose.
Il faut enfin noter que la force d'une strong depend énormément de ce qui l'entoure. Et la pour moi le bas blesse.
J'ai checker tous les perso licornes cavalerie et force est de constater que mise à part chen ils n'ont pas de capa trasnscendante.La plupart du tps ils ont une capa de deplacement ou de bonus de force (donc pas de kill ni mm de tape) et le trait cavalerie les rend tres tres chers (09 gold de moyenne).
Je pense donc qu'il faudra vraiment tester cette strong pour avoir un avis vraiment tranché. Sur le papier ce nouvel archétype n'apparait ni fort ni faible.

J'avais donc mal lu. Dc si je comprend bien on va surpayer nos persos du fait de leur trait cavalerie sans pouvoir vraiment en profiter...

Mais l'action a plus de valeur en fin de match, non? Cartes ne sont pas perdues jusqu'à ce que les batailles se sont opposés.

En effet, dans un deck Unicorn classique, ce SH aura plus d'impact en fin de partie. Mais si on construit son deck avec nos bons persos Infantry*, il y a moyen d'abuser de la pioche et d'en faire un vrai moteur de pioche tout au long de la partie.

(*Je pense notamment à Shanyu, Liu Ying, Ming-li et Tairu, et aussi Ide Kin, mais lui n'ira pas souvent en bataille)

with this opposition the reaction of our SH are ok? or the timming of the enganging is before the battle action phase?

It wouldn't trigger the stronghold action at that point as it is an armies engage (Sneak Attack Window)trigger.

Tbh, I'd rather see this stronghold played in a Tact/Commander or Tact/Scout deck.

and enlightment deck, no, it's not a joke.

Do we think that card draw is gonna be Unicorn's "thing" for the rest of the arc, or will the mechanic be made more commonplace across the board? Personally, I hope it's the latter. The other Clans should be given no additional incentive to hate us.

Well Mantis has the whole Legion of Toshigoku thing going on (at least from what I've seen in the decks I've faced), Lion is built for card draw with CC among other things, Crane and Dragon can abuse the favor, Spider essentially have draw power through their Paragons (which are underrated imo). The only ones who are really boned in terms of card draw/cycling is Crab and Scorpion.

But a ton of the cards that have been previewed here lately have some form of card draw. That's what I mean.

If you mean cards that allow you to take control of an enemy unit, yes, there are a few (Enticement being an example).
